About the game

Mahjong solitaire, carried by the tide.

Mahjong Tide is a calm, free tile-matching game where honest puzzles meet public-domain art and a journey across historic Japan.

Three ways to play

01

The Daily

A board shared by everyone each day, in four sizes. Build a streak, compare clean results, and unlock a new painting.

02

The Journey

Walk the fifty-five stations of the old Tokaido Road. Clear each station as the tide retreats and collect Hiroshige’s complete series.

03

Free play

Choose any layout and size, make your own layouts, and play as often as you like with the backgrounds and tiles you love.

Honest boards, visible rules

Every dealt board is guaranteed solvable. Mahjong Tide never secretly reshuffles the tiles or pretends a dead end did not happen: it tells you when a winning line has been lost, and gives you hints and undo when you want them.

Part game, part gallery

Paintings are not disposable decoration. They are introduced with their title, artist, and story, then gather in your Collections alongside animated water, tile sets, and tile backs.

An account is optional

Every mode works without signing in. An optional account can sync progress and custom layouts across devices and let you appear on the Daily leaderboard. Your public player name is separate from your email.

When Google sign-in is available, it is simply another way into that optional account. Mahjong Tide asks Google only for a stable account identifier and your verified email address. Privacy.

Independent, and still growing

Mahjong Tide is an independently made game from France. It is being shaped around quiet play, careful details, and feedback from the people who actually play it.
